Description
Job Summary: 
This position will be responsible for working on day-to-day activities and key projects for the Human Resources team.  The HR Intern will be exposed to a variety of HR issues, at times working directly with an HR team member and at other times working on projects independently.  This position will be responsible for delivering assistance and administrative support on various projects and tasks.  This non-exempt position will work with direct supervision.

Essential Functions: 
* Assist in creating, updating and maintaining employee files.
*Assist in coordination and delivery of new hire orientation, training activities, recruiting events, wellness activities and employee events.
*Assist in recruitment process.
*Complete E-Verify process for new hires.
*Research, format, and update job descriptions.  Ensure ongoing consistent practices as they related to the storage and formatting.
*Maintain a high level of customer service to team members and employees.
*Prepare miscellaneous Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents as needed.
*Assist in a variety of HR projects.
*Work proactively with other team members.
*Develop and prepare a variety of reports, which may include compensation, new hire and termination reports among others; providing analysis and recommendations depending on findings.
*Assist HR team as needed.
*Other duties/task as assigned.
 
Knowledge of: 
*Federal, state and local HR/employment laws and regulations.
*Relational databases and HRIS concepts.

Education:
* Currently enrolled in a college or university, junior or senior collegiate status, pursing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
*3.0 or better cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale

Experience:
*.0-1 years of experience
*Experience with Internet and e-mail software.
*Previous office experience preferred.
