Description
Job Summary:
Assist the Project Managers and Superintendent with the management and administrative requirements for heavy and highway construction and site development projects.  This hourly, non exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.

Essential Functions:     
* Prepare reports, business correspondence, and documents.
* Review, distribute, and discuss incoming correspondence with appropriate parties.
* Prepare outgoing correspondence for signature and distribution.
* Review shop drawings and submittals with Project Managers, material suppliers, and subcontractors; submit to owners for approval.
* Process change orders, work authorizations, force accounts, extra/additional work price justifications, progress payments, etc.         
* Understand ECMS and processes for submittals for PennDOT projects.   
* Schedule entry into primavera scheduling software.
* Provide support for Project Managers and Superintendent to ensure proper procedures and processes are followed.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
* Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
* Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Knowledge of:
* Basic computer skills.
* Microsoft Office software.
* Correspondence and document preparation, change orders, progress payments, etc.
* Methods of organizing, directing, and managing contract administration.
* Civil engineering and construction principles.
* Project scheduling.
* Cost estimating.
* PennDOT ECMS. 

Ability to:
* Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
* Work as a team player.
* Work independently and make sound judgments without direct supervision.
* Communicate effectively.
* Read and interpret plans and specifications.
* Use a computer and related office equipment.

Qualifications:
* Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Education: 
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field.

Physical Requirements:
* Ability to occasionally work in field environment with exposure to dust, noise, inclement weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
* Ability to use standard office equipment to include computers, copiers, faxes, etc.
