Job Summary:
Plan, oversee, and administer all activities used throughout the organization related to timely, cost effective procurement. Promote and maintain vendor relations. Administer the company credit card program, fuel cards, and other purchased goods. This salaried, exempt position will work without direct supervision.

Essential Functions:   
*Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions.
*Procure energy products, raw materials, and services in a cost-effective manner.
*Administer the company credit card, fuel cards, and other purchased goods. 
*Encourage and support the use of the financial software system with the company’s authorized buyers. 
*Administer the purchasing and inventory modules within the company financial software system.  
*Promote and maintain vendor relations with integrity and fairness.
*Facilitate company wide vendor negotiations.
*Report market trends or changes that may impact specific areas of the company and/or the company overall.
*Monitor and promote the use of vendor performance evaluations.
*Research and execute cost-saving opportunities. 
*Prepare and detail information so that vendors responding to requests for quotes will fully understand the bid package and expectations. 
*Analyze or assist in the analysis of vendor bid proposals.  The relevant aspects of the proposals received should be weighted as to their overall importance and, therefore, given appropriate consideration. 
*Represent the company and conduct business in a manner that conveys the company’s image. 
*Occasionally work more than 40 hours per week and non-traditional hours.
*Travel and/or drive personal vehicle to GOH operations, events, and other locations, at times requiring out-of-town/overnight travel.
*Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
*Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. 

Knowledge of: 
* Information sources and contacts (web sites, publications, utilities, market consultants, marketers, brokers, regulatory agencies, etc.)  
* Common purchasing terminology and jargon.
* Microsoft Office software.
* Accounting functions, processes and inter departmental interactions.

Ability to:
* Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
* Maintain confidential information.

Qualifications: 
* Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills to effectively and efficiently handle multiple priorities with short deadlines.
* Prefer Certified Purchasing Manager.

Education: 
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Logistics or related field required.   

Experience: 
* Ten years of experience in purchasing or related field preferred.
