Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and directing all aggregate plant activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure quality of product and customer satisfaction; for meeting all GOH, federal, state, and local regulations; and for developing, motivating and managing plant personnel in a safe and productive working atmosphere. This salary, exempt position will work with indirect supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Manage and direct all aggregate plant activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure safety, quality of product and customer satisfaction.
* Supervise the performance of plant personnel to maximize productivity of equipment.
* Achieve targets of TPMH and variable production and fixed costs budgets.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws concerning EEO and fair labor practices, and all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
* Enforce progressive discipline and resolve labor disputes.
* Select, train and motivate plant personnel to retain a premier workforce.
* Conduct operations in a responsible manner to ensure minimal adverse effect on plant neighbors.
* Manage the operation and maintenance of equipment to achieve lowest operating costs.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
* Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non-traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
* Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Knowledge of:
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
* Material gradations from both production and material handling.
Ability to:
* Learn, follow, and enforce GOH Company policies and procedures.
* Keep up with changes in technology, equipment and plant operations.
* Communicate effectively with subordinates, supervisors, co-workers and the general public.
* Understand the parameters that should be used to effectively measure performance in TPMH, variable and fixed costs, and maintenance costs of equipment.
* Demonstrate effective problem solving ability.
* Work with indirect supervision.
Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant operations or a related field preferred.

* CPR/ First Aid
* Bearing, Gear Box, Welding and Torch Training
* Crusher School
* Screen Bearings
* Rigging
* Computer Skills

Physical Requirements:
* Constant (67-100%)- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
* Occasionally (0-33%)- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Occasionally (0-33%)- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
* Occasionally (0-33%)- Ability to work in a field environment with exposure to dust, inclement weather conditions, extreme heat and cold.
* Occasionally (0-33%)- Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain.
