Job Summary: 
The Citrix XenApp Administrator will provide day-to-day administration, engineering, architecture, and support services in a Citrix XenApp/VMware vSphere hosted environment.  Requires a deep practical understanding of virtualization technologies and best practices utilizing Citrix and VMware products.  The Citrix Administrator will also be responsible for some design and development work, especially installing new applications to the test environment and determining what settings must be applied to get them to work.  AppSense Environment Manager and ThinPrint would be a plus.  Must be team oriented with good communication skills (both verbal and written).  This non-exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.

Essential Functions: 
* Support and maintain existing Citrix production and test environments.
     - Includes installing updates for Citrix farm
     - Troubleshooting end-to-end issues from Client to Server.
* Ensure timely and accurate problem resolution when issues arise.
* Create, develop and update documentation for all configurations, standards and critical procedures within the existing Citrix environment where applicable.
* Ensure the Citrix production environment is available at all times during normal and extended business hours.
* Administer Citrix licensing and resolve licensing issues to ensure licensing compliance of any installed applications within the environment.
* Fulfill duties and responsibilities assigned or delegated from time-to-time by the Manager
* Assist with daily responsibilities that include, but not limited to, management of server images, application and OS installations and images, deploying physical servers and documentation.
* Create /Manage user roaming profiles.
* Assign users to published applications.
* Log off hung sessions.
* Troubleshoot server connectivity issues and verify that servers are available to users.
* Troubleshoot printing issues.
* Participate in the afterhours on call rotation
* Update documentation to reflect changes or fixes to Citrix environment.
* Administer Citrix Web Interface servers.
* Work with Network Administrator/Third party vendors to ensure security/stability of network environment
* Document issues and user problems in the IT Help Desk application

Knowledge of:
* Microsoft Windows 7 and higher
* VMWARE
* Production Support
* Customer Support
* CITRIX
* Systems Design
* Systems Administration

Ability to:
* Collaborate with other areas of IT.
* Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
* Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:    
* Strong understanding of Windows 2003/2008 R2.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
* Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
* Strong understanding of Citrix.
* Citrix certification preferred.

Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* BS Degree in Information Sciences or related field preferred.

Experience:
* 2 years experience with design, configuration and implementation of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop.
* 2 years experience with design and implementation of Citrix Provisioning Services.
* 2 years experience with VMware environment.

* Frequently required to use basic office equipment such as phones, computer, copier, etc. (Constant 67-100%)
