Job Summary:
Safely perform a full range of journey level, complex skilled welding and complete minor maintenance and repair of mobile and stationary equipment.  Respond to field emergencies and perform on site repairs. This hourly, non exempt position will work with indirect supervision from the Shop Superintendent or Shop Leader.
 
Essential Functions:  
*Safely perform all essential functions.
*Use welding and flame cutting equipment to perform skilled technical welding and fabricating duties on stationary and mobile equipment.
*Assemble and disassemble equipment if necessary to complete welding projects.
*Proactively communicate with Leaders and Equipment Operators concerning equipment and job related projects.
*Respond to field emergencies and perform on site repairs.
*Occasionally operate various vehicles and heavy equipment.
*Consistently work on personal growth plan.
*Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
*Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
*Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Knowledge of:
* Methods, materials and equipment used in welding.
* Construction operations.

Ability to:
* Take and follow instructions.
* Learn and follow GOH policies and procedures.
* Work with others in a team environment.
* Work with indirect supervision.

Qualifications: 
* Valid driver’s license for state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.
* Must possess basic set of hand tools to do mechanical work.
* Must have welding certifications for current process utilized on the job (i.e. structural, pipe, etc.).

Education: 
* High school graduate or equivalent. 
* Prefer completion of formalized training in welding, fabrication or related field.

Experience: 
* Minimum of five years of welding experience preferred.

* Safety 
* MSHA (if applicable)
* Hydraulics
* Engine Electronics
* Machine Electronics

Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
