Job Summary:  
Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, and maintain aggregate and asphalt equipment along with heavy mobile equipment.  This is a hourly, non exempt position that will function independently with guidance from the Plant Project Engineering Manager.

Essential Functions:   
* Demonstrate initiative in analyzing and solving problems
* Proficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild all system failures on mobile and stationary plant equipment.
* Safely perform all essential functions.
* Generate report of parts necessary and time required to complete project.
* Operate equipment for diagnosing and testing purposes.
* Accurately generate in a timely manner all repair work orders including parts, fluids, labor, repair work, and mileage.
* Perform cleanup at the end of the day or when job is completed including cleaning and proper storage of tools.
* Demonstrate diplomatic proactive communication with field leaders and equipment operators concerning equipment and job related projects.
* Use welding and flame cutting equipment to perform welding duties.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
* Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
* Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Knowledge of:
* Methods, materials, tools and equipment used in repairing and maintaining mobile and stationary equipment.
* Basic computer skills.
* Aggregate and asphalt plant operations.
* Construction operations.
* Troubleshooting techniques.
* Hydraulic principles and systems.
* Fundamentals of engines.
* Power and drive train principles.
* Machine electronics.
* Fuel systems.

Ability to:
* Operate tools and equipment used to repair equipment.
* Take and follow instructions.
* Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: 
* Valid driver’s license for state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.
* Valid PA CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred.
* Class A or B state inspection license preferred.
* Experience in cutting and welding processes.

Education: 
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Completion of Heavy Equipment/Diesel Technology program from an accredited vocational or technical school preferred.

Experience: 
* Minimum of three years experience as a heavy equipment or truck technician preferred.
* Plant maintenance experience preferred.

Required Training:
* MSHA 
* CPR/First Aid

Physical Requirements:
* Frequently (34 66%)  Ability to climb on and off equipment safely.
* Frequently (34 66%)  Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
* Occasionally (0 33%)  Ability to work in shop field or field environment with exposure to dust, welding fumes, exhaust fumes, noise, confined spaces, and inclement weather conditions.
* Occasionally (0 33%)  Ability to work with and around fuel and other petroleum products.
* Occasionally (0 33%)  Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
* Occasionally (0 33%)  Ability to bend, kneel, or squat to reach repair areas.
* Occasionally (0 33%)  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
