Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of aggregate products from rail cars to the appropriate aggregate stockpile. Perform manual labor as necessary. This hourly, non exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of aggregate products from rail cars to the appropriate aggregate stockpile.
* Perform daily checks, inspections and maintenance of rail facility and associated conveyor system.
* Identify mechanical malfunctions, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
* Safely and proficiently operate plant loader.
* Provide assistance and support for the maintenance of the asphalt plant.
* Proactively communicate in a positive, professional manner with GOH team members.
* Perform manual labor as necessary.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
* Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Knowledge of:
* Heavy construction equipment operation.
Ability to:
* Learn asphalt plant (batch and drum operations) safety, operations and equipment.
* Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
* Recognize operation conditions such as segregated stock piles, moisture problems, contamination, etc.
* Work with direct and indirect supervision.
Qualifications:
* Must be able to operate welder and cutting torch.
Education:
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
* Previous equipment repair experience preferred.
Required Training:
* CPR/First Aid
* Skid Steer
* JLG
* Forklift
* Tele Handler
* 8 Hour Arc Flash
* Bearing, Gear Box, Welding, and Torch Training
* Rigging/Hooking/Lifting
* Production and Efficiency Mobile Equipment Training
Physical Requirements:
* Constant (67 100%) Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
* Frequently (34 66%) Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
* Frequently (34 66%) Ability to shovel.
* Frequently (34 66%) Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
* Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather.
* Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to physically climb to top of silos and perform work.
* Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Occasionally (0 33%) Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
