Description
Job Summary: Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping floors, cleaning, stocking supplies, and a variety of other work in the maintenance of GOH facilities in the Centre region. This hourly, non-exempt position works with direct and indirect supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Perform maintenance of facilities, including but not limited to sweeping and mopping shop floors, picking up material on shop floors and parking areas, cleaning tables and lunch room equipment, removing trash and placing in dumpster, operating high-pressure cleaning equipment, stocking supplies, and handling used oil and fuel filters.
* Maintain proper GOH driving requirements and drive a standard shift vehicle, up to one ton, to pick up and deliver parts.
* Ensure all company policies, safety regulations and good housekeeping guidelines are observed.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
* Work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
* Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Knowledge of:
* Shop safety hazards.
Ability to:
*Promote a safe and productive work environment.
* Learn and follow GOH Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
* Valid driver’s license for state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.
Education:
*Prefer GED or high school diploma.
Experience:
*No previous experience required.
Required and Preferred Training:
*Shop safety orientation and training.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to work in shop or field environments with exposure to dust, welding fumes, exhaust vapors, noise, confined spaces, and inclement weather conditions. Constantly (67%-100%)
* Ability to sweep and mop floors. Frequently (34-66%)
* Ability to bend, kneel, or squat to reach materials on floor or ground. Frequently (34-66%)
* Ability to walk parking areas, grades and terrains. Frequently (34-66%)
* Ability to work with fuel and other petroleum products. Occasionally (0-33%)
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Occasionally (0-33%)
* Ability to climb stairs. Occasionally (0-33%)
